Tencent, a Chinese software giant, came out with its antivirus package that brings more functions to the table than you might first expect. The PC Manager consists of two engines that keep the devices free of malware and the user safe online.

The website advertises various other options. However, the international version doesn’t cover these, effectively making it a simple antivirus package.

The installation file for this program is quite large. Setting up and installing Tencent PC Manager takes mere minutes. It doesn't even require a login.

The installation process is further simplified thanks to the wizard.

Tencent PC Manager made the AV-Comparatives' Real-World Protection Test and came 12th out of 18 tested programs in 2018. Its protection rate of 99.2% outperformed many big industry names, with few false positives.

Unfortunately, other independent testing labs don’t cover this program. 

Ease of Use and Interface

The interface is good-looking and simple to use, although this feature comes as a negative since it stems from the lack of options it brings you. 

Either way, if you ignore the poorly-translated Chinese, navigation is as straightforward as clicking the labeled buttons.

Customer Support

One of the most significant pitfalls this promising program met is its lack of customer support, or any type of help, for its international users. 

It lacks staff and contact information, and it doesn’t make up for the fact by providing you with a comprehensive - or any - knowledge base or FAQ section. Once you download and install the program, it leaves you to figure out the rest on your own.
